The challenge
The scheme as proposed sought a comprehensive mixed-use redevelopment of the site comprising up to 3,610 residential units, 15,000-27,500sq m of new retail (A1-A5) floor space, 165,000- 350,000 sq m of Office floor space, a hotel of up to 350 bedrooms and additional leisure and community facilitates along with extensive landscaping and a primary school.
The solution
We assisted the Council in securing 25% affordable housing by habitable room with potential for additional payments to secure further contributions towards affordable housing through a proposed review mechanism.
