A winning combination

Fast, collaborative working between our residential, estate and farm agency, land and planning teams helped our client find a beautiful 250-acre Scottish estate and discover everything it had to offer.

Just missing out on a property being sold by our estate and farm agency (EFAD) and residential teams, we saw an opportunity to help these clients achieve their desire of finding and buying a residential estate in central Scotland.  We worked closely with them to understand exactly what they wanted and our EFAD team introduced opportunities that would offer not just good amenities but also the privacy and peace they sought.

We found a stunning Perthshire estate and following viewings with the selling agents brought in our land management and planning teams’ expertise to develop an extensive pre-purchase report. This was to help their decision making as they were new to this type of property ownership and this 250 acre estate included not just a beautiful house but farming, cottages, woodland, renewable energy, tenants and employees. There was keen competition but our advice and introduction of both solicitor and building surveyor, whose advice was integral, achieved success.

Delighted with the outcome, our client is now settling into their new estate and an exciting next chapter in their lives with our rural team still advising them on how best to manage their estate for future success.
