Just missing out on a property being sold by our estate and farm agency (EFAD) and residential teams, we saw an opportunity to help these clients achieve their desire of finding and buying a residential estate in Central Scotland. We found a stunning Perthshire estate and following viewings with the selling agents, brought in our land management and planning teams’ expertise to develop an extensive pre-purchase report. This was to help their decision making as they were new to this type of property ownership. This 250 acre estate included not just a beautiful house but farming, cottages, woodland, renewable energy, tenants and employees. There was keen competition but our advice and introduction of both solicitor and building surveyor, whose advice was integral, achieved success.
