The challenge
Haldon Park Wood and Humberdown Wood is a 128-acre area divided by a small lane. John Clegg & Co. sold the woodland on two previous occasions, in 1997 and 2014, and were instructed for the third time for the 2018 sale in 2018. Over the last four years, the site saw the construction of a new 21-acre mixed use forestry and forest school.
The solution
Working closely with the client, John Clegg & Co helped navigate a range of competitive offers and ultimately exceeded the £670,000 sale price. This reflects an achievement of annual capital growth rate of over 10%, with rates at £5,000 per acre compared to £3,700 in 2014.
