The challenge
The centre was purchased by LGIM Real Assets in 2015 (advised by BNP Paribas Real Estate) and has since undergone a complete £28.5 million refurbishment. We have had to contend with various retailer administrations, including one of the anchor tenants, BHS, and an ever-changing retail environment.
The solution
We provided letting and development advice and have helped to reconfigure and re-anchor the centre. The former BHS is now an upsized H&M, including their Home concept, and a new “Food Social” dining area. We have also attracted Decathlon and a new flagship River Island store.
