UK Build to Rent Market Update Q4 2022

The economic and political backdrop continued to inflate demand for homes to rent in Q4 2022 and combined with the structural under supply of homes in the UK, led to significant rental growth.

BTR rents are anticipated to rise in 2023, albeit at a lower rate.

Investors continued to focus their attention on the Living sectors, attracted by the robust demand fundamentals and whilst the changes in interest rates and movement in debt pricing has impacted on sentiment, this has not yet translated to a material shift in BTR yields.
