The Paris Agreement’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2050 requires a rethink of the world of investment and subsequently how it is applied to the real estate sector.
Many financial firms are leading the way in the transition towards a net zero economy. BNP Paribas Asset Management, which launched its global strategy “Sustainability”, in 2019, is placing sustainability at the heart of its investment philosophy, in order to better manage long-term risk and create more value for its clients and society as a whole.

Real estate is playing a major role in this: real estate portfolios are being reinvented to offer clearer and greener investment solutions. For the European Union, as in each country, regulations are providing a framework for this transformation.
