BNP Paribas Real Estate, part of the BNP Paribas Group, a global leader in financial services, today announced that Elaine Murphy has been appointed as head of occupier strategy.
Elaine, who has been a director within the firm’s occupier solutions division for almost 25 years, has been promoted into a newly created role which will see her partner closely with its senior client base to advise on the delivery of their long-term goals, bringing in expertise across the department and wider business to ensure the successful rollout of both live and potential projects and services.
She will be based in BNP Paribas Group’s London Marylebone campus and will work closely with Tom Bolland, head of occupier solutions, to develop new business strategies and promotional opportunities of the team internally and externally. A crucial part of this will see her work closely with relationship managers at BNP Paribas (bank) to unlock further cross-selling opportunities across the entities.
Tom Bolland, head of occupier solutions at BNP Paribas Real Estate commented: “Producing a well-articulated property strategy can identify previously unconsidered options, highlight areas of neglect and an action to improve the performance of portfolios. This enables real estate solutions to be developed, which are integral to the business strategy and adding value. Aligning your occupational portfolios with your operational requirements ensures that the needs of your business, staff and customers are met cost effectively.
“Elaine has a clear vision of where our growth opportunities lie and the experience and relationships to assist me in bolstering our positioning in the market. She has played a fundamental role in forming connections at the most senior levels of our major client base, and so it was a natural progression to create this role to make her the link between themselves and our team.”
Elaine Murphy, head of occupier strategy at BNP Paribas Real Estate added: “I’m taking this step up into a role at a time where clients are seeking more widespread services and expertise across the board. As such, I will act as a link between the two in terms of conceptualising and delivering on their objectives. Following our Marylebone campus move, I look forward to continuing our cross-selling trajectory working closer with the bank relationship managers on a daily basis, and across the other entities of our business.”
Elaine’s promotion follows the announcement of its valuation team doubling in Scotland, and Tony Lockwood as director within its development team, demonstrating BNP Paribas Real Estate’s continued drive to connect clients with opportunities and sustainable property solutions through expert advice, insight, and financial acumen, supporting them to create long term outperformance and value in a changing world.
