Julian Bunting appointed as building consultancy director

BNP Paribas Real Estate, part of the BNP Paribas Group, a global leader in financial services, today announced that Julian Bunting has been appointed as director within building consultancy. 

Julian joins from ig9 where he held the role of partner for 18 years, and was responsible for leading a significant team delivering a wide range of building surveying instructions including major renovation and construction projects, including CAT A refurbishments for blue clip clients and local authorities. 

His experience includes managing large-scale cyclical revitalisation programmes, undertaking technical due diligence instructions and providing principal designer services on high profile commercial and public sector projects. Notable clients included Aviva Investors, Tesco Pensions, abrdn and Peabody.

Julian’s new role will see him work closely with Ian Bragg to deliver creative and sustainable solutions for clients to support them in making the most from their property portfolios.

The appointment follows the recent release of The Future Is Retro: Opportunity in Industrial Retrofitting report, in which the building consultancy team outlined their cost model to show the impact of different improvement works in raising a building’s EPC.

Recent hires include Freddie Biss as head of occupier business development and Tony Lockwood’s appointment as director within its development team, as well as the promotion of Elaine Murphy as head of occupier strategy, demonstrating BNP Paribas Real Estate’s continued drive to connect clients with opportunities and sustainable property solutions through expert advice, insight, and financial acumen, supporting them to create long term performance and value..
