Whilst this year has been an extremely challenging time for the sector, sentiment improved in Q3 and investor interest in Healthcare properties continued to grow.
Our Q3 2020 UK Healthcare report has just been released. Key findings of the report include:
- Occupancy rates and new enquiry levels in care homes improved over Q3, although there are still reports of slow referrals
- Rent collection in the listed sector remained high with the healthcare REITS reporting c.95% in Q3 2020
- Investment volumes were significantly down compared with previous years, however there remains underlying positive sentiment from investors for the sector
- Development activity continued unabated with the pandemic highlighting the importance of good quality, purpose-built accommodation to match care needs
