At a Glance - Q4 2016

We anticipate seeing continued strong investor demand - February 2017

Take-up reaches 3.5m sq ft, a fall of 17% year-on-year with investment into South East offices is up 23% on the 5-year average (2011-15).

Some of the key findings include;

Agency: Take-up reaches 3.5m sq ft, a fall of 17% year-on-year. 

 

Investment: Investment into South East offices is up 23% on the 5-year average (2011-15) with £3.05bn deployed into the region. Overseas investors made up nearly half of the total volume of purchases in the region over 2016.

 

Outlook: Rental growth is expected to be less pronounced in 2017 as the previous supply shortages are re-balanced. Additionally, we anticipate seeing continued strong investor demand for long-dated income in the South East.
