BNP PARIBAS REAL ESTATE LAUNCHES NEW HOMES BUSINESS IN ASIA AND STRENGTHENS LONDON RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT TEAM, FOLLOWING STRUTT & PARKER MERGER

Caroline Palmer appointed Senior Director for Residential business within the International Investment Group

BNP Paribas Real Estate has appointed Caroline Palmer to lead the expansion of its residential business into Asia following its acquisition of Strutt & Parker last year.

Caroline has joined BNP Paribas Real Estate’s Hong Kong platform as a Senior Director, working within BNP Paribas Real Estate’s cross-border International Investment Group. She will be responsible for BNP Paribas Real Estate’s UK residential business, which trades under the name of Strutt & Parker, in the APAC region.

Caroline has 15 years’ experience in the London residential real estate market, with a particular focus on high-end residential homes and apartments transactions on behalf of clients based in Asia.

Based in Hong Kong, Caroline will act as a link between the London and Asian offices to lead this new residential offering. Her role will include working closely with BNP Paribas Wealth Management Asia to offer a new bespoke residential offering to BNP Paribas’ Wealth Management and high-net-worth clients.

The appointment comes as Strutt & Parker also strengthens its London Residential Development and Investment team, hiring Josh Ayres as a Director from Hamptons, and promoting Sarah Curtis and Richard Thomas to Director.

Strutt & Parker is one of the leading advisers in the UK residential market on site acquisition, product development and international sales and marketing. It has an established land development team, led by Steve Cooper, and is instructed on circa £7.5bn of new home developments that have launched or are due to be launched in 2018.

These include Stanhope’s £1.5bn redevelopment of The BBC Television Centre in White City, West London; The Essex Brewery in Walthamstow; The Old War Office in Whitehall, and The Peninsula Residences in Belgravia.

Mark Dorman, Head of London Residential Development and Investment, said: “I am delighted to welcome Caroline and Josh to the business. We have the privilege to advise on some of London’s most iconic residential developments, and the expansion of our business in to Asia is a natural next step that perfectly illustrates the synergies for our business that exist across the BNP Paribas group.”
