Occupying a sustainable building
Living in an eco-neighbourhood with Residential Property Development
Following on from the French government-sponsored environmental forum (Grenelle de l’Environnement), elected officials, planning authorities and property developers are exploring opportunities to put sustainable town planning into practice.
Since 2004, the year the first Home and Environment certification was obtained in Paris, BNP Paribas Real Estate has remained at the leading edge of sustainable development. As part of this approach, the company has committed to achieving certification for every property we produce.
Furthermore, our ‘Eco-districts’ policy supports decision making by local authorities, and highlights the potential to design and build environmentally-friendly urban development projects.
In France, our Residential Property Development team also set up the ’Green Suppliers Charter’ in 2010, which requires its service providers to comply with environmentally responsible practices and certifications.
In Italy, the "Residenze Dalia", our first residential development in the country, subscribes to an environmentally-friendly philosophy. The buildings are in energy class A and are highly efficient in terms of heat and sound insulation.
