The challenges
- POL were working to a strict timeline, any delays that they faced would have financial implications.
- The schedule of works was constantly changing.
- Landlord’s consents had to be obtained, often at very short notice.
What we did
- Liaising with Project Managers and building surveyors to advise on tenure of properties, whether properties were listed, or would require planning consent for works.
- We had to proactively communicate with landlords to ensure consents were obtained where required.
- We had to meet tight deadlines, particularly when obtaining landlords consent for the works to take place. This involved working closely with building surveyors to ensure all relevant documents were submitted to the landlords.
- We prioritised the works in terms of complexity, to protect POL’s position at high profile sites and had to consider the potential impact of works on upcoming lease events.
